I'm already using it. The only thing I miss is to have the next step of multiple checklists.

FYI, I took note of your feature request there: https://github.com/adrienjoly/chrome-next-step-for-trello/issues/6. To make sure that we're on the same line, would you mind sharing a screenshot of how a card with multiple next steps (one per checklist of that card) would look like, on your board view, please?

You're going to be happy, Lailo! I added the feature that -- I think -- you wanted! Wait a few minutes for v0.5 to land on Chrome Web Store :-)

...and I live-streamed the whole development of the feature, in case you're curious! https://www.livecoding.tv/adrienjoly/videos/BMmVd-making-a-simple-chrome-extension-4

I don't see the update, and I'll have a look into the livestream. Why did you do this in the first place?

make sure you have v0.5 of the extension. refresh your trello board page. click on the new button, from trello's toolbar.

I livestreamed it because I'm exploring livecoding as one way to monetize the development of my software, so I had to give it a try. It was a cool experience! you get to chat with people who watch you code. and some people DO make money by doing this, as crazy as it may sound!

It's working! Can you actually work focused while having the chat on the side?

cool! usually, not so much. but during my last livecoding session i had very few questions, so it was not a annoyance. also, the task I was working on was very clear, straightforward, and I was making frequent commits with current progress status, so I had no difficulty at going back to where I left off, when somebody interrupted me.

really cool and useful!

thank you, susu! ^^

Yes, yes and yes! 😍

I've developed a first version (work in progress), would you like to try it? If so: 1. copy the code from this gist: https://gist.github.com/adrienjoly/654926571e2ccb7abbd3403299efc1c8 2. paste it in chrome's javascript console, when you're on a trello board => I'm working on making this a chrome extension. Can you tell me if this code works for you?

Just installed it and I really love it. The only question is: what about multiple checklists in one card?

thx for the feedback, lailo! the script will display only the first unchecked item from all checklists, starting with the first one. what's your workflow? / why are you asking?

When we start working on new feature for Pitchcard, we create a new card and there we add multiple lists for API, front end, design, ... It would be cool to see the title and the first item on the checklist.

oh, so you would like to see the name of the checklist too? e.g. "API: add the xyz endpoint" ?

Yup, exactly like this.

this feature would make sense, indeed! i'm keeping it in my trello card ^^
