I love it. but how would you collect the data?

the app would allow open the wikipedia page of surrounding places, and enable contributors to highlight "fun facts" from it. does that make sense?

Is the data already there on Wikipedia (connection between the place and the article)?

On most place articles, GPS coordinates are provided, yes.

Cool! I didn't know this - I found it now. I always wanted to explore new places with this type of data, google Map app usually gives Wikipedia article when you select some place. but, this could be much useful

thanks for the link. i guess that the next step is to make a curated version of wikipedia articles recommended by this app.
